I am thankful for so much; the things I hold in my arms and what I hold close to my heart.
“Mama, I love you so much. You fill my heart up.”
I don’t know how I got this family of mine, but boy I thank the heavens and all my lucky stars for each of them.
All the bumps in the road, the almosts and “what ifs” lead me to a pretty incredible man. Every seemingly wrong turn in my life brought me to my knees and God gave me a second chance at it all. I don’t take this life and this love for granted, not for a second.
I’m thankful that the stars aligned at the perfect time and I found my people. Nothing in this life is coincidence. I’m thankful for the willingness to jump in the trenches, lend a helping hand, love on someone; because this has lead to some of the most fulfilling and rewarding moments in my life.
This year I’m seeing the promises that were planted years ago come to light. I’m thankful for so many answered prayers and healing. I still rest in the peace of knowing my God is good. He’s good when life is messy. He’s good in the in between, the not quite yet’s and the broken. If you are caught between a rock and a hard place, I encourage you to find the light. And if you can’t quite find it yet, find someone that’ll sit beside you in the dark.
I’m thankful for this life I am so honoured to live.
I’m thankful for the family I have here in my arms, our chosen family and family far away.
And I’m thankful for you, too.
