When creating a plan for my friends for their home, I looked at the big picture and chose a colour scheme, finishes and even wood tones that would be repeated throughout the home. This helps create a calming atmosphere that flows from one room to the other with ease.

Your plan should consist of wall and accent colours, patterns and textures. The desired finishes and wood tones should also be considered. Tip- the wood tones do not have to be the flooring, this is referring to the accent woods throughout the home ie: side tables, wood picture frames and home accents.

One of my favourite details of the living room is the layering of side tables! The square cube in front of the floor lamp and then the circular side table in front of the cube. Complete cozy vibes with the versatility of using it anywhere in the living space when entertaining or relaxing with the big family.
This nature inspired contemporary home holds subtle pops of blue, brown and earth tones. Layering is key with different textures and finishes to give it that cozy, welcoming- kick up your feet and have a glass of wine feeling.
