I wanted to create something special for my daughter’s 6th birthday! I remember always wanting a decked out doll house around her age and my friend Natalie encouraged me to do it! So I had this empty wooden dollhouse sitting around un used so I decided to give it a go!

I created the inside using as much recycled materials as I could! It’s amazing how you begin to look at things differently when you’re creating miniatures out of trash! Old clothes were the fabrics I used throughout the house, on old stuffed animal became the stuffing for pillows and things, an empty soother container became the bathtub and un used kitchen sponges became the form of the couch.

Here’s a few basics you need on hand for your own project:
-Mod Podge Glue
-Glue gun
-Fabric glue (no sew)
-foam core board
-Exacto Knife
-Decorative paper
-Fabric/felt
-any wood pieces to be turned into furniture and accessories
-Air Dry Clay (I made a lot of food with this)
Here’s the finished dollhouse!

I’m so happy with how it turned out and hope my Larkin girl cherishes it for years to come!
