We wanted a calming space to bring baby home to and I feel like we’ve accomplished that with a fairly gender neutral space (other then our touches of blue) and a soft colour scheme. Take a look at what we’ve been working on!

There’s a lot of homemade touches to this room such as the side table and shelf made by this babe’s daddy and the animal wall art made by me. A lot was thrifted too! The change table dresser was salvaged and restored with a few coats of paint and new rustic hardware. The toy chest was mine growing up and we swapped out the dark wood with a matching soft grey. The small table lamp was purchased when we went thrifting with my in laws. It was one of the early purchases we made before we had anything else in the room! We saved the flag banners we handmade for our wedding and used a strand above the crib instead of a mobile. My wonderfully talented friend, Natalie (from natalieranae.com) made and gifted us the beautiful macrame wall piece that we have displayed over the dresser. Check out the growth chart! It was made by a husband and wife team within our church.
I spend a lot of time sitting in this room, rocking in the chair and thinking about this baby I’ll be holding soon. So much excitement and anticipation in our midst!
