What can happen in a year

This last year, I lost something that was precious to me. I felt pain and emptiness and a bit of anger.  But through the loss I saw God’s hand in it all- revealing something beautiful in me through the wreckage. Through ME… little did I know, He was pruning and refining me (again) in this process of loss.

“And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast” 1 Peter 5:10

He un raveled a humble and compassionate heart, a strong spirit, a prayer warrior and His daughter- one who’s heart was broken, but stayed steadfast in her father’s love. He also showed me a beautiful love story. He saw the desires of my heart and while my heart was breaking, He was creating a new story.

January 1st marked as a day of let down and despair has turned into a launching pad in a new, restored and exciting story.

Happy New Year to a God who knows what tomorrow holds, to new adventures, to breathing new life into abandoned dreams, to answered prayers and for the waiting.

Yes,  loss was a big part of this past year, but I truly gained way more then I lost. I am so thankful for answered prayers, for my relationship with friends and family that got strengthened over the year and for my marriage. I truly value our relationship and thank God that we grew stronger over the last year- as friends and partners in life.

What can happen in a year? A lot of unexpected turns and opportunities to discover a new you.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from my heart to yours.
